GREAT Autism benefit - Mickey Finn's up next!
Boy, did we have a great time at the Annual Autism Speaks benefit at Scoreboard Bar and Grill last night. By "we" I mean EVERYONE! It was a fun time hanging out with old friends and meeting lots of new ones, and listening to some fantastic music. Mister Al, Dave Coy, Blue Eyed Leo, The Petries, Jake & Joel, Paul Allodi, James Wayman, and Lindy Alo were all on hand and in top form. (Oh yeah, I played, too!) If you didn't make it this year, don't miss it next year. The raffles are a hoot, and the Scoreboard always has great food and drink specials. And your raffle donations all go to the Rachel's Rebels team in the Autism Speaks walk.
OK - now I have to shift gears and prepare for Jennerator rehearsal tonight. We're polishing up our stuff for Friday's show at the Amber Room at Mickey Finn's Brewery in Libertyville. Come see us! We hear this is a GREAT room and we're looking forward to playing. So, bring all your work buddies out for dinner and some Mickey Finn's beer then stay for the Jennerator party! Bring Your Mama: Jennerator at Blarney Island!
We are SO excited to be playing May 12 at Blarney Island, the Key West of the Midwest! It's Mother's Day, so bring the special Moms in your life out to have a fun time with Jennerator. It's a mile offshore in the middle of Grass Lake in Antioch, Illinois. So, bring your own boat, or hop on the shuttle boat! This is opening weekend for Blarney, and we are thrilled to be part of it. The Gin Blossoms played here, for crying out loud.
DON'T forget the other important events, though... Sunday, April 21 I'll be solo in the Autism Speaks benefit at Scoreboard Bar & Grill in Lake Zurich. I should know soon when my timeslot will be, but you'll want to get there early and start getting raffle tickets, anyway. You might luck out and get a jar of Robbyaki Sauce - and I AM NOT KIDDING. That stuff is GREAT. (I'm bringing my last empty jar back to Rob to see if I can get a refill...hee hee...) AND, April 26th will be Jennerator's first gig at the Amber Room at Mickey Finn's Brewery in Libertyville. We keep hearing that it's a fantastic room, and the food and beer are to die for, so come join us! Not Just a Dirty Bar Band...
We had an outstanding rehearsal last night - some really fun new stuff is on the horizon! My favorite quote from rehearsal:
Me: I'm really the genre buster for you guys, aren't I? Guys: Huh?/ What?/ What do you mean? Me: Well, with me, we're not JUST a dirty bar band... Scott: Yeah! We're a dirty bar band with a UKULELE! We had a BLAST at Bowl-Hi in Huntley last weekend, and now we're getting the music all polished up for an awesome show at Mickey Finn's Brewery in Libertyville. ![]() This is going to be a really fun show - hope to see you there! It's a Friday night, so grab your work buddies, head over and have dinner and some delicious Mickey Finn's beer, then come see us in the Amber Room and party like a rockstar! New Spring Dates!
After London Pub, Jennerator took off most of March for family time and R&R, but we're gearing back up and ready to get back out there. We'll have new songs and some more surprises, so plan to catch us when we're near you:

3/1 - London Pub, 3/2- Cary Country Club, 3/3- Long Grove Cafe!
The snow is coming down outside, and I'm preparing for an awesome weekend of music! The Jenntlemen and I had a WONDERFUL time at eSkape in Buffalo Grove last weekend.
![]() In case you couldn't make it, you can see Jennerator at London Pub in Crystal Lake Friday night, starting at 9:30. Come for the food, stay for the music!
![]() Then, Saturday, we'll be at Cary Country Club - because Mark Kownick's running for mayor, and he needed someone to step up and make it a PARTY. Being good Americans, we're happy to help!
![]() Then, while the boys are resting up from their super-hard weekend (sniff, sniff) I'll be at Long Grove Cafe for Ice Meltin' Blues Fest at noon on Sunday!
See you out there this weekend!
